1 in 10 Adults to gamble in online casinos by 2019
August 19, 2015A new study conducted by Juniper Research group found that 1 in 10 adults will have engaged in some form of online gambling by the year 2019. UK and Italy have an even higher rate with the study showing a 5 out of 10 result of adults playing some form of online gaming by that year.
While the numbers might be of surprise to you this is by no means an exaggeration and quite self-explanatory. With the broad marketing campaigns and more notably wide spread legalization of online gaming across the globe it is natural for more people to enjoy this form of entertainment. The opening of the US market will only add to the already huge audience of people that enjoy online casinos and sports betting in places like Europe and elsewhere.
Try playing one of these casinos now and see if you can be a winner also!
The US as of now has only 3 states that allow regulated online gaming, Delaware, Nevada and New Jersey. Other areas of the country such as California and Pennsylvania are considering it, although it is quite tricky to get a bill passed that allows online gaming to be enjoyed by the public. For governments this means immense revenue streams from taxes that the regulation imposes on all gaming operators such as Leo Vegas, Vera & John and others.
In Europe the situation differs as there are quite some regulated markets already which allow online casinos to be offered to the public, such as Denmark for example. A lot of other countries which are unregulated still enjoy the benefits of operators such as Leo Vegas and Mr Green offering their services in their country despite having a license there, given that it isn’t needed.
There are some cases however where the taxation in Europe has took its toll and the general public had to endure the consequences. William Hill for one has left Portugal recently as they simply did not wish to pay up the high tax rate that this given country imposed on their operation.
Looking forward however it is quite clear that the online gaming business is booming, it will become even more wide spread than it is today and many more people will be able to enjoy playing online casinos from the comfort of their home or from their mobile devices.
